Recently we have withnessed!
A great advancement in technology.
Cheaper and better.
So are SOCs coming out from china getting better than snapdragon?

Leadcore
Leadcore Technology is a Chinese fabless semiconductor company that provides system-on-chip solutions for smartphones and tablets, specializing in the TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE network standards used in China and in other countries.
According to DigiTimes,
in Q2 2014 Leadcore was the sixth-largest supplier of smartphone application processors in China with a market share of 3% of all units, which represents unit shipments of about 3 million.

In October 2014, the Chinese website cnBeta.com reported on rumours that Xiaomi
which according to IDC was the third largest smartphone company in the world in unit shipments in the third quarter of 2014,would take a controlling 51% interest in the company.

There are two variant of the device itself which xiaomi is offering!

Clearly the leadcore has got a upper hand on the snapdragon device.
It’s current form the Xioami Redmi 2A has a Leadcore processor with support for TD-LTE only, so there isn’t much use in ordering one for use outside of China just yet. May be they can work on it in the coming future.
At $90 (or there abouts) still has great specs and we are sure in actual usage the phone has more than enough power for regular usage, but we also wonder why anyone would buy the 2A when for just 100 Yuan more you can have the Redmi 2 with a Qualcomm chip.
On the other hand Qualcomm chip are rekoned as more reliable and seems to offer better user experience but the tables have turned, customers are looking for cheaper and better.
