Apple has overtaken Xiaomi to become China's largest smartphone vendor. 

The US tech-giant Apple has overtaken China's Xiaomi to rise as largest smartphone vendor of the Chinese market for the first ever time. In the first quarter of 2015, the Apple grabbed 14.7 percent market share while the Chinese mobile-giant had a 13.7 percent share, a latest report of market researcher International Data Corporation (IDC) claimed. The world's largest smartphone market was occupied by four different mobilephone companies in last five quaters. 

Lenovo and Samsung were also on the top rank in past. Another Chinese tech-giant Huawei is also giving tough competition to the top vendors in China, a report published in Xinhua said. 

According to the report, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Apple witnessed rise in shipments during the first quarter of 2015 while Lenovo and Samsung suffered declines.
