Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Handsets Fail From Overheating : rumors

A new rumor has been spreading online that suggests the latest flagship phablet released by Xiaomi contains some serious overheating issues. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro was just released today in China and already consumers who picked up the handset are making their way back in-store to receive a replacement. We’re not sure who is at fault or how legitimate these rumors currently are, but it may be leaving several consumers who picked up the latest handset completely unsatisfied. Here’s everything that’s known so far about the overheating issue.
Xiaomi announced the Mi Note Pro along with the Mi Note back in January. This particular handset is known as a phablet, a name which is usually given to devices that hold a larger screen display. The Mi Note Pro contains a 5.7-inch display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. Containing 4 GB of RAM, the smartphone will feature 64 GB of internal storage and will be running on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. We have a complete rundown of specifications and features for the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro for anyone that might be interested in learning more about the handset.
Now Xiaomi just released the Mi Note Pro handset today in China for the equivalent of about $480 but apparently there wasn’t enough quality assurance put into the latest flagship device, as more consumers have been reporting issues with their smartphone overheating. These issues range from the device being too hot for use, displays being burned out, inputs not being recognized to even motherboards being completely burned out. So where does this problem lay within the handset? This is a question that has yet to be answered from Xiaomi though Qualcomm has been quick to claim that their chipset is not at fault.
Qualcomm’s VP of marketing, Tim McDonough, stated that their Snapdragon 810 has yet to be the problem for any overheating problems with commercially released devices. Xiaomi, however, has placed five patents of their own, all of which were based on the prevention of overheating. Since the handset is so new on the market, we wonder what this means for the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Hopefully, the problem can be solved with an update as having to go through the process of making adjustments to the smartphone itself could be costly and create a further annoyance to consumers
